A 2.5-hour walk up the Río Guadalmina through amazing canyons, with lots of jumps into deep pools along the way. You spend a lot of time actually in the water — which can get deep in places — so good swimming skills are a must, and it's quite active: minimum age around 7 or 8. In summer you can do it without a wetsuit, though a shorty makes it more comfortable. Do it on your own, or with a guide from Marbella Adventures (€40pp, equipment included).
Simon's tip
Bring a waterproof pouch for car keys and phone — you WILL get wet. Park at Parking Ermita in Benahavís village (the pin on the maps buttons).
