A whitewashed hilltop village with sweeping coastal views, narrow flower-lined streets, and the region's classic burro-taxi photo op. It's touristy but earns it — small enough to see in a couple of hours and easy going for kids, with plenty of ice cream and craft stalls along the way.
Simon's tip
Park at the edge of the village (it fills up by midday) and walk up — the little train tour is a nice option if the kids get tired. it can get busy in summer with tour buses making the entrance to the town slow at times.
