Tolox river pools — Charco de la Virgen

Visit the small mountain village of Tolox, on the edge of the Sierra de las Nieves, and walk along the river past its man-made bathing pools — each one is called a "charco". Keep going until you reach the Charco de la Virgen, a natural pool with a beautiful waterfall pouring into it. Parking is easy right at the start of the walk.

In summer arrive around 10am to beat both the heat and the crowds — the charcos fill up by midday.
